Rodrigo Alves is addicted to plastic surgery. In fact, he has already spent more than £500k for multiple surgical procedures, all in an effort to have the body that “matches” his mind.

Besides, Alves has often been compared to Ken, Barbie’s doll boyfriend. According to him, achieving his current look was not easy since he had to undergo various procedures, including 8 separate nose jobs.

Rodrigo Alves, 34, began getting surgeries since he was 19.

He has since been dubbed the ‘human ken doll’ because of his appearance.

There is, however, one procedure he regrets undergoing – getting four of his ribs removed to make his waist smaller.

In an interview with DailyMail, Rodrigo explained:

“I am in pain in the evenings. It’s not unbearable but it’s on my mind and now I wonder what I was thinking.

“I’ve been left with two scars on my back, but the worst thing is, I don’t feel any smaller than I did before.”

According to Rodrigo, the surgery cost him £28,000 and he had to wear a corset all the time after it.

This was all done because he wanted to have a 20″ waist so he can wear form-fitting’ blazers.

The expensive surgery isn’t worth it, said Rodrigo.

“I only look smaller when I’ve got it on,” he shared. “As soon as I take it off, I feel like I am back to normal.”

Now he says he won’t be getting any more cosmetic surgeries, except maintenance for those he already had in the past.

He further complained:

“I have a bump on one side and I don’t know what that is. I need to find out. It could be a piece of floating cartilage.

“I don’t recommend anyone has this surgery. It is risky, it can be dangerous and the results are only shown when I wear a corset.

“I can’t wear a corset to go to the beach. Summer is coming soon. I can’t wear one as I will be too hot and sweaty.”

About a year ago, Rodrigo was detained in Dubai after authorities pointed out he looked different from his passport picture, saying he was “unrecognizable.”

The experience, he said, made him reflect on all the surgeries he’s had so far.

Rodrigo said:

“This experience has made me think a lot and made me analyse myself and the decisions I’ve made in the past.

“But I can’t change them, so from now on it will be constant maintenance, maintenance.”
