Victor Hubbard was once a homeless man and he sat on the corner of Nasa Road and El Camino Real in Clear Lake, Texas every single day. For the past 3 years, local resident Ginger Sprouse has noticed him on the same spot and out of curiosity, she talked to him.

Ginger later learned about his story and it totally broke her heart. According to Victor, he suffers from severe mental illness and the big reason why he stays on the same place is that his own mother left him there three years ago.

Despite what happened, Victor is still hoping she’d show up one day.

“So he waits, and waits and waits,” shared Ginger.

Eventually, the woman, who turned out to be the owner of the Art of The Meal cooking school, decided to help the 32-year-old homeless man.

Ginger helped him get some much-needed treatment.

She also gave him a job at Art of The Meal.

As if that wasn’t enough, Victor was also invited to stay at Ginger’s family home.

A Facebook page called This Is Victor was also created to document his growth.

Victor, on the other hand, couldn’t help but feel grateful for Ginger’s support.

In an interview with KHOU, he remarked:

“She came around and she kind of saved me. She helped me. It’s like grace.”

Aside from his Facebook page, a GoFundMe page has also been created to help Victor on his expenses.

“No matter what season it is, I will always have that love for her,” Victor said about Ginger.

It’s stories like these that truly restore our faith in humanity. Good job, Ginger, for helping change Victor’s life for the better!
