Friends Dress Up As A Different Version Of The Same Celebrity Every Halloween

“We’re going to keep this up until we make it on The Ellen Show. Could take decades!”

Best pals Jamie Bell, Auburn Salcedo, and their friends take Hallowed costumes to the next level. They do group costumes every year – and it only gets better each time.

Eight years ago, all seven of them were hired for a job in advertising. However, they ended up quitting the job but gained a very solid friendship.

2012 Johnny Depp: Fear and Loathing, Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland, Sweeney Todd, Cry Baby, Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

2013 Jim Carrey: Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Dumb & Dumber, The Cable Guy, The Mask, The Grinch, Ace Ventura, Batman Forever

Just like most people, they also take inspiration for their outfits on Reddit. Once they decide on the celebrity, they start choosing characters, and they already “have a pick order predetermined for the next 25 years.”

2014 Will Ferrell: Elf, Blades of Glory, Zoolander, Anchorman, Night at the Roxbury, Semi-Pro, Talladega Nights

2015 Robin Williams: Mrs. Doubtfire, Mork, Jumanji, Popeye, Hook, Aladdin, The Birdcage

They also said that the first group costume they decided was mutual and not forced. Choosing whom to cosplay also happened randomly. The group decides whom to portray, and then they start picking their characters.

Although a lot of people enjoyed their themed photos, they 2015 one garnered some negative reactions. Auburn Salcedo, who was playing Genie in the photo, was photoshopped, which people didn’t like, but she explained why they decided to do it.

She said:

“I was there for the photo, but the original has me in full Genie make-up, and quite honestly, it’s terrifying. Gave kids nightmares scary. In an attempt to save many people emotional trauma, I opted to have a pre-makeup photo of me added in. If you find the original you will either be frightened to your core or laugh hysterically.”

2016 Bill Murray: Garfield, Space Jam, Caddyshack, The Life Aquatic, Ghostbusters, Kingpin, What About Bob?

2018 Tom Hanks: Toy Story, Castaway, Apollo 13, Forrest Gump, Big, David S. Pumpkins (SNL), A League of Their Own

Auburn shared that they were in four different cities in 2017, which is why they didn’t have a photo that year. However, they have “vowed to never miss another year again!”

So if you think that they might get tired of this tradition and would eventually stop, Jamie said that “We’re going to keep this up until we make it on The Ellen Show. Could take decades!”
